Why Vermont Five Seasons?

What makes Vermont Five Season's granola so different, both in taste and texture, and so much more delicious than all others? First, we start with only the freshest and most wholesome ingredients. Then, we prepare each batch by hand in our Vermont bakery. Next, we slowly roast each batch to crispy perfection (but not too crispy!) for you and your family to enjoy!

How'd Vermont Five Seasons Start?

For more than 35 years, Nancy Freund has been baking her authentic and all-natural granola for friends and family. With a little encouragement from all those who loved the granola, Nancy decided to go into business. In early 2010, Vermont Five Seasons Granola Company was born in Montpelier, the beautiful capitol of Vermont.

If you’re like nearly every non-Vermonter we’ve talked to, you’re wondering why we’ve named our company Vermont Five Seasons Granola Company. That’s a great question!

In most places, there are only four season: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Well, up here in Vermont, we have one more season: Mud Season! Hence we thought it would be a clever name, as well as a nice way to pay homage to the beautiful state of Vermont.
